Serial USB Peristaltic Pumps

Serial peristaltic pumps are designed to be connected and controlled by a computer via a terminal emulator, or program capable of sending serial commands. Traditionally, a serial control interface would be done by a RS-232 or RS-485 port. However, many computers no longer include this communication interface, as it has largely been superseded by USB ports. Our serial USB pumps maintain compatibility with these ports by utilizing the same serial communication protocol as the traditional RS-232/RS-485 ports allowing for simple migration and integration, while modernizing our interface for the next generation of peristaltic pumps.

Serial Made Simple

This device can be as simple or sophisticated as your deployment requires. All you need to do is connect your cables, open a serial compatible terminal emulator (such as PuTTY), and get started. Once the connection is initiated, all the commands will be displayed in an intuitive format.

Why Serial?

Does your application require more precision than traditional control methods? Do you need highly-repeatable sequences to be defined? Are you controlling multiple pumps at the same time?

We designed these pumps to provide you with the ability to create the control you need.

If you need to slowly ramp up the pump to half-speed over fifteen rotations of the pump head, dispense for twenty seconds, ramp down to one-quarter speed over the next five rotations, then roll back to prevent dripping, and repeat that sequence in reverse 20 times? You can design that. Or, if you just need the pump to run for one minute and stop, you can do that too.

Serial control is valuable for its ability to be as complex as you need, or as simple as you want.
